Is smart lighting something for me?

Is the WiZ system easy to use?
Sure! All our WiZ products are designed to be user friendly and fun. This way we make sure smart lighting is as easy as screwing in a light bulb.
Because simplicity is build into our products you won't spend hours inside a manual or stuck watching tutorials. All you need is a light, the app and Wi-Fi in your home, it's child's play.
How do I know which smart light to choose?
The easiest way to start with smart lighting is to swap one of your old bulbs for a WiZ one, or consider one of our luminaire products like squire. That way you can see how easy it really is. After getting the hang of it, you can always add that bedside lamp or strip in the kitchen.
Oh, and these lights are compatible with all regular fittings, so don't worry: it'll work like a charm.
Can I control smart lights from other brands with my WiZ app
Yes! As long as it's from one of our partners and it has the 'Connected by WiZ' label on it's packaging.
Do I need a Hub?
No! That's the beauty of WiZ. All you need to start is one light and your Wi-Fi router. The WiZ ecosystem communicates via your existing Wi-Fi signal. No need for an expensive Hub.
What if I don't want to use my phone to control my lights?
Thats Okay! We got you. You can use your switch as normal. You can choose between two light settings by turning the switch on and off quickly.
Just remember, if your switch is off, there is no power to your lights. This means you will have to turn the switch on again to be able to control them via your phone, the remote, your voice, or movement.
What happens to my lights after load shedding or a power failure?
It's up to you! You can set the lights to remain off when the power comes back on, or you can set them to revert to the last setting. These lights are more than just the looks....
Do I need a dimmer to dim the lights?
No! All the technology is built right into every light. That smart hey? No need to buy dimmers!
If you have a dimmer on the circuit, it is you need to get an electrician to uninstall it before connecting your WiZ lamp.
