The WiZ LED A60 full colour bulb brings smart lighting for your daily living. Retrofit into any lamp shade to create the ambience of your choice. Wi-Fi connected, 16 million colours and adjustable from warm white to daylight. All Wi-Fi controllable, of course, using the WiZ app, WiZ remote or your voice.

    Wiz Smart Bulbs

    I bought the Wiz range of bulbs because they can operate on local wifi independent of an internet connection. unlike others using eg: Tuya.
    They also include the latest "Matter" connectivity which is fast becoming the new standard for smart homes.
    The bulbs integrate via WIZ and Matter methods into Home assistant which I use extensively throughout my home.

    The issues I have is that a bulb may randomly lose its connection to the local wifi and this seems to have been a problem over the last 4 years with wiz bulbs. (See Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Philips/comments/kgk6vb/wiz_lights_keep_disconnecting/)
    Also the Wiz App (Iphone) will perform only one action if internet is not available until you reload the app then it will do one more. (odd I know) this is not the case while internet is present. I suspect some external access is blocking subsequent calls until the app receives a response. Implying possible statistics data submission to some cloud system . But this is just a supposition not based on any fact. Third party control with such as Homeassistant is not affected. Overall I am more satisfied with these bulbs than I have been with others available.
