From the box to your first connected room

Download the WiZ app
Create your home and allow the local network and Bluetooth permissions needed for setup.

Install and power the light
Fit the lamp or luminaire safely, switch it on and keep your phone connected to the home Wi-Fi used for setup.

Pair it to the room
The app can detect compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices or guide you through adding them manually.

Make it yours
Name the light, choose its room and configure power-on behaviour, modes, schedules and shortcuts.
WiZ lights use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for normal operation. Pairing can also use Bluetooth on compatible products.
More than manual control
The app is also where SpaceSense comes to life
For compatible Bluetooth-enabled WiZ devices, SpaceSense can use Wi-Fi sensing to detect movement between lights in the same room. In the app you configure the sensing area, sensitivity and what the lighting should do when movement is detected.

Useful things to know before setup
Can more than one person control the home?
Yes. Household members can be given access to the WiZ home, so control is not limited to the phone that originally paired the lights.
Does the app only work when I am at home?
The WiZ system supports remote control after setup, subject to internet availability and the normal service requirements of the app and integration you are using.
Can I still use a wall switch?
Yes, but cutting power removes the light from app, voice and automation control until power is restored. WiZclick can also be configured to switch between preferred modes using the physical switch.
What happens after a power cut?
WiZ provides power-on behaviour and a power-outage-recovery setting. Very short or repeated outages can occasionally be interpreted as switch input, so no smart-light system should be treated as a substitute for emergency lighting.
